August 16th – 20th, 2017
Gallery 50, Toronto
Organized by Sydney Morrison
“The exhibition investigates what it means to be in Close Quarters, a term that differs when considering public versus private places. The exhibition presents a multifaceted showcase of physical and cerebral study including painting, drawing, printmaking and prose. The works on display exhibit four individual’s perception of reality as they make transitions through mental, physical and digital spaces; the artists expressing their comfort, anxiety, and significance of being in proximity to another.
Close Quarters marked the fourth collective endeavour between OCADU graduates Sydney Morrison, Renée Hayward, Brianna Tosswill and John Holland. ”
